Emmets Coiste na nOg were absolutely delighted to welcome the one and only Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper to our clubhouse on Tuesday evening as he presented our all conquering U12 team from 2017 with their medals on a great night for the lads and their families. Colm was very kind with his time and gave the boys plenty words of wisdom and encouragement in the dressing room after training, advice I’m sure that will stay with them for many years ahead. The Gooch was accompanied by Emmets great Stephen Stack and Bernadette Dalton of AIB who kindly presented the team with a new set of jerseys. A special thanks to all who helped out on the evening and to Christy Walsh for the lovely food. The future is very bright for Listowel Emmets and as Colm Cooper said ‘it’s all about the club’. Thanks for your time Colm.
