Co. Junior League Group 4 – Round 3
Lispole B 0-09 Emmets B 7-09

A good win for the B team down west puts them in a good position on top of Group 4. The lads are away to Dingle next which takes place this coming Friday.

Co. Senior League Div 2 – Round 7
Kilcummin 3-14  Listowel Emmets 2-02

With so many players missing this was always going to be a tough ask for Emmets against the Intermediate champions on their own patch but our lads went in at half-time two points to the good thanks to a Noel Kennelly penalty and a good finish from Joe Joe Grimes after some excellent work by David Keane and Tom McCarthy.

Unfortunately the second half was a different matter as our defence just could not sustain the Kilcummin onslaught and they ran out deserving winners. Emmets tried hard to the line and another positive was the return of Tom McCarthy from a long lay-off through injury. We now face Kenmare at home in Round 8 on the first weekend of July.

Emmets: S Quinn, G Tarrant, D Broderick, C McCarthy, R Smith, M Whelan, B O’Flynn (E O’Brien) J J Grimes, D Halpin, S Gilbert, T McCarthy, D Keane, S Tarrant (J Hartnett), N Kennelly, R Hanley (C Beasley)
