Club Development Plan

Listowel Emmets are currently undertaking a Club Development Plan. In order for us to plan for the future we are holding a workshop at our clubhouse on Thursday 5th April. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the club to have their say and see how we can grow and develop our club in our community. We would love for as many people as possible to attend and we warmly welcome all input from everyone. The workshop will run for no longer than one hour and thirty minutes and refreshments will be served on the night also. This is a big step for our club and we hope you can all be a part of it. For further information please see our social media forums, our club website or Club PRO Pat Barry at pro.listowelemmets.kerry@gaa.ie or 087 7651416.

County Senior League Div 2 – Round 2
Currow 1-12 Emmets 2-09

Last Sunday our seniors made the tough trip down to Currow to contest their second County League game of the season. It was always going to be a tight affair between the two teams and it it was Currow who opened the scoring after just one minute with a point from Dan O’Shea. Listowel then hit back with scores from Sam Tarrant and Conor Cox. While enjoying a good spell of possession the away side hit the back of the net with a great goal from Cox who soloed his way through the home defence and placed the ball just inside Shane O’Learys near post. Listowel went into half time leading 1-04 to 0-06 and put themselves in a good position to drive on from here. Just three minutes into the second half Emmets hit the back of the net again with a great finish from Sam Tarrant. Listowel added to their lead with a point from Cormuc Mullvihill who had earlier hit the crossbar from a cracking individual effort. Thirteen minutes into the second half Currow’s Seamus Brosnan scored an excellent goal to bring them back into the game. The home side then hit three points on the trot to bring the game to a draw and leave the away side frustrated at not securing the two points having been in pole position going in to the home straight. Listowel will now play Na Gaeil in the first round of the Junior Premier Championship in Mountcoal next Saturday evening at 5:30 and will hope to drive on from this game.
